According to science — and I’m paraphrasing a lot here — a real man consists of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, a pinch or two of nitrogen, a wad of coarse body hair, and nine gallons of testosterone.

Since this is also the biological recipe for a woman in the former Soviet Bloc, we know there’s way more to being a man than some base chemicals and a deep voice.

A real man is a highly complex creature with a well developed brain from which half the feelings have been severely stunted or removed.

Time to man up: I am the oldest of seven girls. Although we had four brothers, they never managed to balance out my house's overabundance of estrogen. Someone was always dying her hair, painting her nails or crying. Most of the time, all of these things were happening at once.

Real men get nostrils waxed

After 20 years of bridal shows, organizer comes up with 'Man Expo.'

Before admiring the powerful muscularity of the latest pickup truck model, some men attending The Man Expo on Friday afternoon stopped off to get their nose hair waxed or uni-brow trimmed.

"I can breathe better," said Paul Garfield, 18, after taking his turn on the waxing table. "I won't have to deal with the pesky nose hair. It didn't hurt as bad."

Encouraged by Garfield, a handful of his friends lined up, one by one, for their own wax jobs.
